Why is it better to Donate through you instead of donating to a charity directly? When you donate through us you will never have to worry about us contacting you for more money, and you will not have to worry about the charity contacting you to solicit more funds as they will not know who you are. People tend to give more when they can give money in private. You have complete control over your own account, who you give to, when you give and how much you give.
I created an account, now where do I sign in to it?
Click on the make a donation link and the sign in link will show up in the top right corner. After you sign in you can either make a donation or manage your account.
What happens after I make my donation?
You will receive an automatic receipt from us for your donation through email. Please verify that your email address is correct when entering your information. Angel Works of Mercy will submit your donation to your charity. The Charity will not receive any identifying information about you, your donation will show as coming from Angel Works of Mercy. If you have mailed your donation in, your receipt will be mailed back to you.
How will I know if my donation is sent on to the charity of my choice?
We will forward on to you any confirmation receipts we receive from your designated charity. We may not be able to forward confirmations for all designations. (e.g. the designation does not qualify as a 501(c)(3) charity, designation does not send us a receipt, the designation is an individual).
Will I still get my tax deduction even if I don't have a designation?
Yes, you will get a tax deduction for your donation. Your receipt from us is your proof of a donation to a 501(c)(3) charity. Your donation will be put into a General Charity Account.
Can the recipient of my donation ever find out who I am?
No, all our records are kept completely confidential. No one will have access to them. You will remain anonymous.
Will I get solicitations from you or other nonprofits if I make a donation through you?
No, all of your information is kept private and confidential. We do not give or sell any of your information to anyone. We will not solicit funds from you either as that is not what we do. We are created as a service for you to use, so that you may remain anonymous in your giving.
Can I give to an individual that is in need or only to a nonprofit organization?
You may give to an individual. However, the criteria for the donation to be charitable must follow the 501(c)(3) tax laws.
If I want to make monthly donations or frequent donations, is there an easy way to do this?
Yes, just register on our site and set up an account. Your information will be securely saved. You will have total control and unrestricted access to manage your account and can easily update all of your giving and contact information. You can set up recurring transactions and will be able to see every online transaction you've made with us, from any device. You will be able to make donations through your checking or savings account or by debit or credit card. You can add a recurring monthly transaction, cancel or update another. You will have complete control over your account and will be able to see how many online donations you have made, the amount of the donations, and the date you made them.
What if I want to mail in a check instead of making my donation online? You may mail us a check at the address listed in the contact us section. Please use our printable donation form found on the Donation page and mail it with your check so we will know who your designation is.
Will I receive an End of Year Statement for my taxes?
You may print out a statement from your online account. It will show all your online donation information.
